Department of Civil Engineering is one of the oldest branches in Ashoka Institute Of Engineering And Technology was started in the year 2009, affiliated by JNTUH, Hyderabad and AICTE New Delhi. In this discipline, Civil engineering deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physically built structures like bridges, roads, canals, dams, and buildings, etc… The regional and global human resource requirements are catered by Civil Engineering. It will also take care of the naturally built environment. The institution is located within the wider area and therefore the students and teachers of the department get benefited through theoretical and field interaction. The broadest of the engineering fields is Civil Engineering. Civil engineers build the world’s infrastructure. It’s an age-old profession and has been defined traditionally as great art, on which the whole of social wealth and the well-being depend. The department has been imparting quality education to meet the technological advancement and industrial requirements. The department building houses, well-equipped laboratories. The department conducts various events for revealing scientific engineering and technological advances to students. Of all the faculty thrives very hard and give their utmost knowledge for the overall development of the student. It is being made possible due to qualified and by the dedication of faculty, state of the art laboratories and infrastructure facilities. The total student intake at present is 60 for B. Tech (Civil Engineering)
The Postgraduate program in Structural Engineering has been started from the academic year 2013-14 with an intake of 24 students.
