Ashoka Innovazi Inc. is the Technology Business Incubator of the Ashoka Group of Institutions which is registered as Section-8 Company (non-profit) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. It provides the world-class infrastructure in the form of co-working space and makers’ lab first-of-its-kind in India along with incubation and acceleration programs for mentoring, networking and investment facilitation.

To produce sustainable start-ups that can leverage innovation from lab-to-market for the socio-economic change in society.

Dr. R. Hafeez Basha is Panel Member, Smart India Hackathon 2020 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India; Advisor / Expert at Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Startup Mentor at Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), Development Commissionerate, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME); Mentor-of-Change, NITI-Aayog. He was earlier Social Entrepreneurship Consultant at SOPAR-Bala Vikasa, Canada where he was instrumental in partnering it with Prime Minister’s India-Israel Innovation bridge program organized by NITI-Aayog. He delivered Workshops on Social Entrepreneurship for Women at Telangana Government Colleges in Tier-2 & Tier-3 cities with funding from the office of US Consulate General, Hyderabad.
He was Waste-to-Energy Consultant at Peepal Renewables Pvt. Ltd. where he deployed biogas plants around 25,000+ in Adilabad, Telangana and Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh with CSR funding from France based TOTAL Gas and Energy Ltd. He is also Career Counsellor for higher education abroad and promotes the Government Scholarships and free education programs of French and Japanese Universities through their Embassies. He visited 13+ countries with full funding, delivered guest lectures at 65+ Institutions in India and abroad including BITS Pilani and NITs. He is Editor and Reviewer at various Elsevier and Springer Journals as well as Technical Chair for IEEE Conferences. He served as IEEE Branch Chairman & later as IEEE Branch Counsellor. He is also two times recipient of “Young Scientist Award” in 2009 and 2014 respectively at India and Nepal.
Entrepreneurship:
Dr. Hafeez Basha founded Cafet-Innova Technical Society in 2007 to motivate students towards R&D and support them with resources. It benefitted 1,600+ Research Scholars publish papers in Journals, obtain their Ph. Ds and later pursue their scientific careers. He later started BRCORP in 2011 catering to requirements of educational institutions in establishing Centers-of-Excellence through Industry-Academia collaborations. In 2018 he started STATION-H as Incubation, Acceleration and Co-working services for Start-ups that helps colleges manage their E-Cells & set-up Incubation Centers by pursuing Government Schemes and CSR Funds. He was also awarded Young Entrepreneur Award by National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (NFED-India) in 2015.
Work Experience:
Dr. Hafeez Basha started working while pursuing his Bachelors as Research Engineer Trainee at Pentagram Research Center Pvt. Ltd. and began his actual career at Satyam Computers (now Tech Mahindra) as Geographical Information System Engineer in 2007 then worked at Thomson Reuters as Research Analyst (Patents). He later switched to academics and stayed at Koneru Lakshmaiah University, Guntur as Assistant Professor. After completing his Ph. D he was Dean R&D at Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology. Presently he is Director – Incubation Center, Industry Interface and Foreign Relations at Ashoka Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad
Education:
Dr. Hafeez Basha did his Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) in 2007, Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur in 2009 with sponsorship from Thomson Reuters, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) in Advanced Technology / Renewable Energy from Kumamoto University, Japan supported by MEXT scholarship of the Japanese Government. He was also presented Dean’s Award for Research Excellence during the convocation in 2016. He later did his Post Doctoral Research Fellowship at Energy Studies Institute, National University of Singapore (NUS).
The Ashoka Institute of Engineering and Technology was selected by the Ministry of Education (MoE) earlier Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India to establish the Institute Innovation Council (IIC) under the MoE Innovation Cell (MIC) in 2018.
