Department Profile

Department of Structural  Engineering is one of the branches in Ashoka Institute Of Engineering And Technology was started from the academic year 2013-14 with an intake of 24 students affiliated by JNTUH, Hyderabad and AICTE New Delhi. In this discipline, Structural engineering deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physically built structures like bridges, roads, canals, dams, and buildings, etc. Structural engineering theory is based on physical laws and empirical knowledge of the structural performance of different materials and geometries. The institution is located within the wider area and therefore the students and teachers of the department get benefited through theoretical and field interaction. Structural engineering design utilizes a number of simple structural elements to build complex structural systems. Structural engineers are responsible for making creative and efficient use of funds, structural elements and materials to achieve these goals. The department has been imparting quality education to meet the technological advancement and industrial requirements. The department building houses, well-equipped laboratories. The department conducts various events for revealing scientific engineering and technological advances to students. Of all the faculty thrives very hard and give their utmost knowledge for the overall development of the student. It is being made possible due to qualified and by the dedication of faculty, state of the art laboratories and infrastructure facilities.

PSO1. Design process: Design the fundamental elements of civil engineering systems, system components and processes considering safety, quality and cost consideration.
PSO2. Quality and standards: Able to plan and prepare design and construction documents such as specifications, contracts, engineering drawings, and construction schedules
