FDP on Cyber Crime Investigation
and Digital Forensics

This FDP course will provide a foundation in the field of cyber crimes and digital forensics. The participants will acquire skills to obtain and analyze digital information for possible use as evidence in civil, criminal or administrative cases. They will learn about the importance of digital forensic principles and procedures, legal considerations, digital evidence controls, and the documentation of forensic analysis. After completing this course, Audience can conduct digital investigations that conform to accepted professional standards and are based on the investigative process: identification, preservation, examination, analysis and reporting.
Dr. Modi is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Engineering Department at National Institute of Technology, Goa, and has completed his Ph.D. in June-2014. He has completed his M. Tech (in June 2010) degree in Computer Engineering from SV National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujarat. His research interest areas cover Network Security, Cloud Computing, Data Mining, Information Security and Privacy. He has good research background and related publications (with good number of citations) in different research areas viz; Network Security, Cloud Computing, Data Mining and Privacy Preserving Data Mining.
