Five Day STC on “Next Generation Communication”

A five day STC was organized by department of ECE of Ashoka Institute of Engineering & Technology in collaboration with NITTTR, Chandigarh from 19/08/2019 to 23/08/2019, this was a golden opportunity for the faculty of AIET for being selected for STC which was organized by NITTTR, Chandigarh an eminent education hub in North India, Dr. Shubham Tayal was the local coordinator for this STC, this STC was organized for development and improvement in subject, teaching and communication skills for faculty of ECE & EEE. The session started on 19/08/2019 at 10:00AM followed by inauguration session and introductory speech of our principal Dr. M. Sreedhar Reddy who introduced the STC center in Telangana region. This STC included lot of important topics some of them are broadband evolution for 5G and new radio technologies which is the current and latest technology used by our communication systems. Dr. Suman, IIT Ropar addressed the session on Small Cell Technology and self driving vehicle based on Radar, Lidar, Sonar, Odometry which started its journey 1920’s but succeeded in 1987 made by Mercedes Benz & DARPA. One of interesting and vital part of communication systems so called antennas were clearly explained by Dr. Ashwani Sharma, IIT, Ropar the design patterns and their specifications with radiation pattern.

The components of next generation communication such as WiFi, Wimax, LTE, HSPA, HSPA+ and microwave hyperthermia application in medical treatment of tumors were explained by Dr. Poonam Syal, NITTTR, Chandigarh followed by feedback and valediction on 23/08/2019 at 3:00PM. All faculty of ECE & EEE attended the five-day STC with keen interest and passion to develop their skills.
