The following activities were held under National Service Scheme (NSS) in ASHOKA Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Pleasing the indigent

This day of 24th August, 2019 was the day dedicated to the orphans, sharing with them some moments to bring smiles to the dried lips and revive gleams to the vacant eyes which are ever on the lookout for love around them. It was an effort of the NSS team under the blessing of Shri Nomula Ashok, Chairman of Ashoka Institute of Engineering and Technology, Malkapur.

The nurturing of traits as upright citizens of the country makes them compassionate towards the needy. That is how a student team led by organisers under the leadership of Profs. Dr. Shubham Tayal and Dr. Hemachandran K started a drive to entice students and teachers to contribute money, food, garments and blankets etc. for the orphans. The drive was a great success as a result of which about 90 inmates of Good Shepherd orphan house at Abdullapurmet were showered with blessings of Shri Nomula Ashok sir. The smile brought to the sad faces made all at ASHOKA happy beyond imagination.

Blood Donation Camp

A blood donation camp was organized by NSS-ASHOKA with the collaboration of Lions Club of Banjarahills, Hyderabad on 20th March 2019 in B-block of the institute. Total 162 students, faculty members, staff members and outsiders have been donated the blood in the camp. Lion P. Harinath Reddy (President Lions Club) and Sh. M. Harish were chief guest and guest of honor, respectively for the camp. The chief guest and the management of the institute also donated blood along with the student, which was a motivation for the volunteers and students as well.


Haritha-Haram (An Initiative of Govt. of Telangana) was organized in ASHOKA The chief guest of the event were Mr. P. Srinivas Reddy, Member of Parliament & Mr. K. Prabhakar Reddy, Member of Legislative Assembly and guest of honor was Mr. Ashok Noumala. AIET students and staff actively participated in NSS activity program and soiled 500 saplings across Toopranpet Village to improve Green Cover in rural areas.

Abhaya Old Age Home (Cloth Distribution)

NSS volunteers of ASHOKA Institute of Engineering & Technology, Malkapur visited the Abhaya Old Age Home Abdullapurmet. Cloths and eatables were distributed in this activity. It was very needful activity. The volunteers made a genuine effort to make people feel good and happy by initiating and involving them in different activities.

Skin & Organ Donation Awareness Program

To assess the knowledge, attitude and, belief on/toward organ donation and the impact of an educational intervention among the students. NSS (National Service Scheme) Unit organized Skin & Organ Donation Awareness Program in association with Lions Club of Jublihills, Hyderabad. Almost 100 participants including teaching and non-teaching staff taken oath to donate their organs on this occasion.
